Rahman is God. Amit Trivedi is junior God. When there is such a dearth of Amit Trivedi videos, this is like an oasis in a desert. Enjoy!!

Why Critics Suck

This guy feels exactly as I do about critics. Read on. http://saveyoursweat.com/sysblog/2008/12/11/why-critics-suck/ Critics turn entertainment into punishment. They don't have enough brains to understand real art, so they call things like movies and cartoons as art. Most of them have low self esteem, so they try to gain confidence by sucking it off filmmakers and audiences by calling them things like low IQ. In fact they are 2-way leeches - they suck the blood of filmmakers who present them their hard work, and the blood of readers who pay their salary. If I could do a survey among critics, I would try to find out how many of them hate themselves. "Maybe they weren't looking for this in the first place. Maybe they were looking for something else. Maybe they came here by mistake."

Yogi Berra Explains Jazz

Interviewer: What do you expect is in store for the future of jazz trumpet? Yogi: I'm thinkin' there'll be a group of guys who've never met talkin' about it all the time... Interviewer: Can you explain jazz? Yogi: I can't, but I will. 90% of all jazz is half improvisation. The other half is the part people play while others are playing something they never played with anyone who played that part. So if you play the wrong part, its right. If you play the right part, it might be right if you play it wrong enough. But if you play it too right, it's wrong. Interviewer: I don't understand. Yogi: Anyone who understands jazz knows that you can't understand it. It's too complicated. That's what's so simple about it. Interviewer: Do you understand it? Yogi: No. That's why I can explain it. If I understood it, I wouldn't know anything about it. Interviewer: Are there any great jazz players alive today? Yogi: No. All the gr...

Badly Drawn Boy photo for my profile

Image
I couldn't find this photo on the net (I downloaded it from the net). So I just uploaded this from my computer and am using it in the profile. I just love this photo, coz it shows more of his wooly hat and beard than his face. Actually those are the things that are his trademarks. You won't recognize him if he was without his hat and shaved !! What more I like about the photo is the psychedelic feel to it. It is not very much like his music, but also not very unlike it. It has rich colours. I just think it's a great photo. I don't know whether it's a publicity still taken by a professional photographer or a casual one taken by an news photographer. It looks more like a professional one to me.
